Zabu Syrah Sicilia IGT

Zabu Syrah Sicilia IGT
Sicily and Syrah – this combination works because the island gives the grape variety what it needs: intense sun, volcanic-mineral soils and large day-night temperature differences that preserve freshness and structure.
Vigneti Zabu cultivates vineyards in the heart of Sicily, in the province of Agrigento. The winery focuses on indigenous and Mediterranean grape varieties that are suited to the island's climate – Syrah is one of the flagship wines of its portfolio.
In the glass, it shines a rich ruby red. The nose reveals blackberry, blueberry, and a distinct peppery note – typical of Syrah from hot locations. These are complemented by hints of cocoa and a touch of leather, which lend the wine depth. On the palate, it is full-bodied and smooth: medium-firm tannins, a pleasant balance of fruit and spice, and a long, smooth finish.
- Temperature: 16–18 °C
- Dishes: Grilled lamb, pasta al ragù, mature Pecorino Siciliano
- Occasion: An uncomplicated evening wine that impresses without lengthy planning.
Vigneti Zabù comes from the heart of Sicily – an island that has always understood wine as more than just a drink: as an expression of earth, sun and strength of character.
Zabù is driven by a passion for indigenous grape varieties like Nero d'Avola and Grillo , which thrive on the region's barren, mineral-rich soils. The wines are honest, approachable, and brimming with Sicilian energy – warm, deep, and vibrant.
If you want to experience Sicily in a glass, Zabù is the right place for you.
