Ökonomierat Rebholz Pinot Blanc
A Pinot Blanc that shows what the Palatinate can do on dry limestone soil: clearly structured, with real pull and a long, spicy finale.
Ökonomierat Rebholz from Siebeldingen is one of the pioneers of German quality viticulture. The family has been managing their vineyards at Bienengarten and Kastanienbusch for generations, consistently following biodynamic principles – soils of limestone and variegated sandstone that give the Pinot Blanc its characteristic minerality.
On the nose, banana peel, ripe pome fruit, and fresh herbs, plus a hint of almond pastry. On the palate, finely juicy and lively, with a firm structure and coarse-sandy minerality. The acidity is precise without being sharp. In the finish, a pleasant tartness, a woody-spicy aftertaste, herbs, and salt – long and straightforward.
