Tokara Reserve Collection Cabernet Sauvignon

A Cabernet Sauvignon from Stellenbosch that shows why this region is one of the best places for the grape variety in the Southern Hemisphere: dark blackberry and cassis, underpinned by cocoa, dried herbs and a characteristic hint of eucalyptus.

Tokara lies at the foot of the Simonsberg, encompassing approximately 120 hectares of vineyards with nutrient-rich soils. Sunny days and the cooling sea air of the Atlantic ensure a long, even ripening period—the foundation for the structure this wine displays in the glass. The winery was founded in 1994 by G.F. Ferreira and is now one of South Africa's most prestigious estates.

On the palate, a broad texture, ripe tannins, and a vanilla finish with lingering spice. The wine is dry, with weight without heaviness.

Pairs well with braised lamb shoulder, herb-crusted beef fillet, or aged cheddar. Serving temperature: 17–18 °C. Ready to drink now, but will keep for several years.
