Franciacorta from Lombardy – Italy's answer to Champagne, with its own DOCG regulations for bottle fermentation and lees aging. This Blanc de Blancs from Tenuta Montenisa, the Antinori family's sparkling wine estate on Lake Iseo, is made exclusively from Chardonnay.

In the glass, it displays a fine, persistent perlage. The aromas range from green apple and white peach to citrus blossom – fresh, with a creamy texture resulting from the required minimum aging on the lees. The finish is dry and lively.

It pairs well as an aperitif, with risotto, white fish, or mild goat cheese. Serving temperature: 7–9 °C.
