Marchese Antinori Contessa Maggi Franciacorta DOCG Riserva

Five years on the lees — that is the foundation of this Franciacorta Riserva from the house of Antinori. Tenuta Montenisa, the Antinori family's estate on Lake Iseo in Lombardy, is dedicated exclusively to traditional bottle fermentation according to the strict requirements of the Franciacorta DOCG.

The base consists of pure Chardonnay, the must of which was partially fermented in oak barrels. This creates an unusual depth: the pale yellow with greenish reflections in the glass heralds what follows — white peach fruit, a hint of brioche, fine yeast spice, and a creamy, long-lasting perlage. The finish shows freshness and length at the same time.

A sparkling wine for moments that demand more than an aperitif: scallops with saffron risotto, grilled turbot, or an aged Grana Padano. Serving temperature: 8–10 °C.
