Tenuta dell'Ornellaia Le Volte 1.5L Magnum

Le Volte combines the expressiveness of the Sangiovese grape, which gives the wine opulence and fullness, with the structure and complexity of the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grape varieties.

The wine is fermented in steel tanks and aged for 10 months in barriques. The entry-level wine from Tenuta dell'Ornellaia presents itself as denser and more powerful year after year. Aromas of sour cherries, elderberry, and dark chocolate delight the nose. Very lively, with silky tannins and a magnificent length, it flows over the tongue.

The Estate

Tenuta dell' Ornellaia

Every vine rooted in the soils revealed by the sea has its own voice. Intuitively grasping and conducting the unmistakable harmony of this choir is an obligation and an honor for Ornellaia. The combination of soil, sun, sea, wind, and the stories of this region shapes every wine.

The soils of Ornellaia are of marine, alluvial, and volcanic origin. The vineyards of Ornellaia are divided into dozens of plots – each one is a microcosm with its own identity and form of expression.

The rows of vines are predominantly oriented to the southwest to always make use of the last rays of the sun before it sets over the sea.
