They are the original form of Tartufi dolci, born in a small Piedmontese town near the truffle capital of Alba: The Tartufi dolci extraneri. 14 deep dark truffle pralines in chocolate-brown wrapping paper come in a pretty, transparent gift bag. Very high-quality dark chocolate gives the extra black Tartufo a special tartness and intensity. The sweet Piedmontese hazelnuts IGP crunch with every bite. Due to the tart aroma, this chocolate truffle gains a mature character – an exciting truffle specialty, therefore, that can be enjoyed very well with a barrique-aged grappa.

The Tartufi dolci are a tribute to the precious truffles from the soil of Piedmont. You can find them everywhere in the small pasticcerias of the region. For years, we have had our sweet specialties produced by a traditional company in the middle of the Langhe, near Alba. These wonderfully soft pralines contain over 40% hazelnuts. The Tonda gentile is the protected, aromatic nut of Piedmont. Its perfect roundness and fine taste are characteristic. They arrive at our producers' facility still in their shells. This guarantees their freshness. There, they are shelled, tasted, and only then gently roasted in-house. A mixture of cocoa mass and butter and pure hazelnut cream offers a wonderful bed for delicious, roasted nut pieces and gives the Tartufo its incomparable bite.
