Synonym Chenin Blanc
Chenin Blanc is more than just a grape variety in South Africa—it's the identity of the Cape. No other country in the world has more land dedicated to Chenin Blanc, and no other wine embodies this more directly than this one.
The Western Cape is home to the oldest Chenin Blanc vines outside the Loire Valley: deep sandy soils, cool sea breezes from the Atlantic, and intense sunshine. This results in dry white wines with a tension between ripe fruit and lively acidity that is rarely found elsewhere. The name synonym says it all—Chenin Blanc as a direct expression of this landscape.
In the glass, it displays yellow apple, ripe pear, and a hint of white blossom, underpinned by a fresh, mineral acidity. The finish is dry and clean, with a slight spiciness lingering on the aftertaste.
Pairs well with chicken in lemon sauce, seafood, or a strong goat cheese. Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Drink now or store for another 2–3 years.
