The Wageck Pfaffmann winery is one of the established names in the southern Palatinate and cultivates vineyards known for their depth of character. The Goldberg vineyard represents a pure expression of Pinot Noir – without exaggeration, with a clear signature.

In the glass, aromas of sour cherry and red currant emerge, underpinned by a hint of dark fruit and delicate earthy notes. The body is light to medium-bodied, the tannins fine-grained, the acidity fresh and well-integrated. The finish is dry and straightforward—not a wine that demands attention, but one that blossoms with a little aeration in the glass.

Best served at 16–17 °C . Pairs well with salmon trout with herb butter, mushroom risotto, or a mild goat cheese. It also makes a great, uncomplicated accompaniment to an evening with good friends and wood-fired bread.
