A beautiful, deep garnet color with bluish reflections. The powerful and complex nose of the Tautavel Côtes du Roussillon Villages reveals aromas of cherry, pepper, tapenade, and eucalyptus. The palate is round and velvety with a lovely freshness and a long, silky finish. Extraction takes place at low temperatures through gentle pump-over. The wine is then aged for 12 months in vats and wood and can be cellared for 4-5 years. The commune of Tautavel is, among other things, the cradle of early humankind, home to the famous ancestor "The Man of Tautavel." The Tautavel Valley is characterized primarily by limestone soils, with some areas of marl.
