Schloss Reinhartshausen Chardonnay-Weissburgunder

A cuvée of Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay that shows what the Rheingau can do beyond Riesling: full-bodied, aromatic, with a clear structure.

Schloss Reinhartshausen is one of the most renowned wineries in the Rheingau region – historically closely linked to Mariannenaue Island, the largest island in the Rhine. The unique island location creates a milder microclimate with consistent heat radiation from the water, which benefits Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay: longer ripening time, more richness.

In the glass, the Pinot Blanc component reveals a round, creamy body; the Chardonnay contributes spicy depth and a light buttery note. Ripe pear and white peach, along with a hint of hazelnut. The finish is lingering and dry.

Serving temperature 10–12 °C. Pairs well with veal schnitzel, pan-fried char with almond butter, or mild mountain cheese. Also a perfect, uncomplicated after-work drink – enjoy it now, without a long wait.

Reinhartshausen Castle

Reinhartshausen Castle – associated with wine since 1189. The largest privately owned winery in the region, with approximately 80 hectares of its own vineyards. Famous sites such as Marcobrunn, Nussbrunnen, Wisselbrunnen, and the estate's own Erbacher Schlossberg. A particular highlight: Mariannenaue Island – a nature reserve, pristine, yet where viticulture is permitted. Over 25 percent of the total production comes from here. Today owned by the Lergenmüller family. Gault Millau 2021: 4 red grapes. The Rheingau as it should be.
