Schloss Reinhartshausen Erbacher Riesling dry
A classic Rheingau Riesling with the typical combination of body and freshness — dry, yet never angular.
Reinhartshausen Castle is located in Erbach in the Rheingau region, directly on the Rhine. The winery, with its vineyards surrounding the Erbacher Marcobrunn spring, is one of the region's historic estates. The vines grow on deep loess loam soils with siliceous deposits—this gives the Riesling substance without sacrificing acidity.
In the glass, the wine displays aromas of yellow apple, a touch of citrus peel, and a hint of white peach. For a dry Rheingau Riesling, the body is comparatively full, with well-integrated and not sharp acidity. The finish is medium-long, fresh and mineral with a subtle spiciness.
Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Drinking window: now until 2027.
It goes well with fried pike-perch with herb butter, light poultry in cream sauce or a classic Wiener Schnitzel.
