Sancerre blanc Comte Lafond AC Sancerre 0.75L
A classic Sancerre that shows why the appellation on the upper Loire is considered the benchmark for Sauvignon Blanc: precise, mineral, with a clear structure and no harshness.
De Ladoucette is one of the most renowned wineries in the Loire Valley and owns vineyards in Sancerre under the Comte Lafond label. The vineyards, situated on typical Kimmeridgian soils—calcareous clay marl with fossilized oysters—give the wine its characteristic minerality and depth, which simpler Sancerres often lack.
In the glass, it displays gooseberry, white grapefruit, and fresh herbs, along with a subtle flint note typical of Sancerre on limestone soils. The palate is firm, the acidity lively but not aggressive, the finish long and saline.
Pairs well with Loire goat cheese—the classic accompaniment—but also with scallops, ceviche, or a light herb risotto. Serve at 10–12 °C , drink now or store until 2028.
