Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons Baroness Nadine Chardonnay Rupert & Ro
A Chardonnay that bears the signature of both founding families: Burgundian precision meets South African fruit depth.
Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons was founded in 1997 through the partnership of Anthonij Rupert and Baron Benjamin de Rothschild. The winery is located in Franschhoek, one of South Africa's most prestigious wine regions, at an altitude of 340 meters. Baroness Nadine—named after Nadine Rupert—is the estate's flagship Chardonnay: grapes from select parcels, fermented and aged in French oak barrels, some of which are new.
In the glass, the wine displays aromas of white peach, citrus zest, and toasted almonds. The new oak adds vanilla and a subtle smokiness without overpowering the fruit. The texture is creamy with a refreshing acidity; the finish is long and mineral.
