Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons Baroness Nadine Chardonnay Rupert & Ro

A Chardonnay that bears the signature of both founding families: Burgundian precision meets South African fruit depth.

Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons was formed in 1997 from the partnership of Anthonij Rupert and Baron Benjamin de Rothschild. The winery is located in Franschhoek, one of the most renowned wine-growing areas in South Africa, at an altitude of 340 meters. The Baroness Nadine — named after Nadine Rupert — is the winery's flagship Chardonnay: grapes from selected parcels, fermentation and aging in French barriques, some of which are new.

In the glass, the wine shows aromas of white peach, citrus peel, and toasted almonds. The new wood adds vanilla and a subtle smoky aroma without masking the fruit. The texture is creamy with fresh acidity in the background — the finish long and mineral.
