Ramon Bilbao Rioja Rosado
A bright, salmon-colored rosé from the Rioja Alta that combines lightness with the character of the Garnacha grape. Vinified dry, it proves to be an uncomplicated companion for warm days and social occasions.
Bodegas Ramón Bilbao is located in a privileged position around the town of Haro, the heart of the Rioja Alta. In recent years, the winery has invested heavily: new technology, a modern barrique cellar, and concepts driven forward by Rodolfo Bastida. On around 75 hectares of vineyards in Haro and the surrounding villages, the harvest is done by hand, a detail that underscores the care taken in the vineyard.
In the glass, the Rosado shows aromas of red berries, with hints of strawberry and raspberry. On the palate, an off-dry acidity structure provides tension, and the finish remains lean and refreshing. Best served at 8-10 °C, for example with a summery appetizer platter, grilled vegetables, or light rice dishes. This rosé also cuts a fine figure as an aperitif on the terrace.

It is vinified dry. The off-dry play of acidity makes it lively without sweetness dominating — a classic dry rosé style from Rioja.

It is versatile: good with tapas, grilled poultry, fish, and seafood. It also makes a good figure with paella or a piece of Manchego.
At what temperature should I serve the Rosado?
Best between 8 and 12 °C — meaning well-chilled from the fridge, let it stand for a few minutes shortly before pouring.
How long does the wine last after opening?
Stored sealed and cool, it remains fresh for one to two days after opening. After that, the fruit noticeably loses its vibrancy.

Ramón Bilbao is one of the defining names of Rioja – founded in 1924 in Haro, the historic heart of Rioja Alta, the winery today stands for a style that combines classic craftsmanship with modern cellar technology. Since 1999, Rodolfo Bastida has led the house as oenologist and managing director and has shaped it into one of the most well-known Spanish wine brands.
Mineral clay soils under the influence of an Atlantic climate give the Tempranillo vines the structure and freshness that give the wines their unmistakable profile.
With 240 hectares of its own vineyards in Rioja, Rueda, and Rías Baixas, Ramón Bilbao has long been thinking beyond the borders of Rioja – and in 2018, it became the first winery in Spain to be awarded the "Wineries for Climate Protection" certification.
