Prisecco White (Meadow Fruit / Elderflower / Herbs)

Not a wine in the classic sense — but a glass that surprises: The PriSecco Weiß from the Jörg Geiger manufactory is a sparkling fruit drink made from old orchard varieties of the Swabian Alb, handcrafted like a good sparkling wine.

Jörg Geiger specializes in saving forgotten fruit varieties: Old pear varieties like the Champagne pear or the Palmisch pear grow in his orchards in Schlat near Göppingen. Instead of grapes, apples, pears and herbs go into the bottle here — cold-pressed, gently processed, and traditionally bottle-fermented.

On the nose, fresh elderflower unfolds alongside ripe pear and a hint of meadow mint. The palate reveals a soft, unobtrusive sweetness of meadow fruits—apple, pear, a touch of peach—supported by peppery herbal notes. The finish is spicy and lingers with elderflower.
