PriSecco Organic Cuvée No. 25

PriSecco Organic Cuvée No. 25
The PriSecco Organic Cuvée No. 25 from the Jörg Geiger manufactory is not a wine in the classic sense – and that's precisely what makes it interesting. Behind the name lies a handcrafted, fermented fruit beverage made from heritage fruit varieties, which comes surprisingly close to a red wine in aroma and structure.
Jörg Geiger from Schlat in the Swabian Alps has specialized in processing almost forgotten fruit varieties – from traditional orchards rather than vineyards. The certified organic manufactory works with fruit from the region, ferments it using traditional methods, and thus creates cuvées with genuine depth.
On the nose, No. 25 displays dark forest berries and blackberry, along with lemony notes of Douglas fir needles and a subtle hint of marzipan. The palate is fruity with berry aromas, ethereal forest herbs, a smoky-woody character, and firm tannins. The finish is long and spicy, with lingering fruit.
Serving temperature: 14–16 °C. Pairs well with mature hard cheeses, game dishes or dark chocolate – also a good choice for those who like wine but are looking for variety.
