Peter Lehmann Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon

Peter Lehmann is a living legend, and not just since his winery was voted Australia's best producer for the second time at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) in 2006. The "King of Barossa" has shaped the development of an entire region, and with it, Australia's rise to the elite of quality wine-producing countries. The grapes for Peter Lehmann Winery's wines come from 185 mostly small-scale winegrowers in the Barossa Valley, some of whom have been cultivating their vineyards for five or even six generations. The majority of the vineyards are mature vineyards, whose vines are between 20 and over 100 years old. Peter Lehmann Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon impresses with its intense bouquet of blackcurrants and ripe wild berries, as well as a pronounced but well-integrated oak note. A velvety, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon with a fruit-forward bouquet of ripe wild berries and blackcurrants, well-structured on the palate.

Peter Lehmann

Peter Lehmann Wines – a pioneer from the Barossa Valley. Founded in 1977 by Peter Lehmann and his wife Margaret, the winery is now among the best in Australia. 140 contract growers cultivate over 750 vineyards – including vines that are over 100 years old. On sandy to stony soils, in a warm, sunny climate, primarily Shiraz thrives, but also Cabernet Sauvignon, Sémillon, and Chardonnay. Peter Lehmann passed away in 2013, and his son Doug continues the legacy. Awards: multiple "Best Wine Producer in Australia" awards and the Lifetime Achievement Award. An Australian wine legend.
