Fool's cap, Riesling winery In den zehn Morgen

A dry Nahe Riesling with a clear structure – fresh, approachable and more than just a simple entry-level wine.

The In den Zehn Morgen winery lies in the heart of the Nahe, a region renowned for its mineral-driven Rieslings. The winery's name refers to a historical unit of land area – a testament to its deep-rooted connection to the location and the soil. The Nahe is considered one of Germany's most diverse wine regions: volcanic rock, slate, and sandstone, depending on the specific vineyard site, noticeably influence the character of the wines.

In the glass, the 2022 Narrenkappe Riesling displays aromas of lemon zest, white peach, and a hint of grapefruit. These are complemented by floral notes – elderflower, light – and a fine minerality on the finish. The acidity is lively but not sharp, the body lean and invigorating. Not a heavy wine, but one that invites you to drink it.
