In den Zehn Morgen Rosenheck Riesling Kabinett winery
A classic Mosel Kabinett from the single vineyard Rosenheck – delicate, cool, and with the typical lightness that makes this style so unmistakable.
The Weingut In den Zehn Morgen cultivates Riesling sites on the Mosel, where slate soils and the cooler microclimate of the steep slopes ensure distinct fruit aromas with low alcohol. Kabinett stands for the lightest predicate in German wine law – harvested from fully ripe, but not overripe grapes, with natural residual sweetness that integrates the acidity instead of covering it up.
In the glass, the Rosenheck shows aromas of Granny Smith apple and ripe lemon, plus white flowers and a cool herbal note. The acidity is lively but not sharp – it gives the wine tension and length. The finish is mineral, slightly salty, classically Mosel.
- Food: Pan-fried trout, sushi, Asian dishes with ginger and coriander, or mildly aged goat cheese
- Temperature: 8–10 °C
- Occasion: Summer evening, light lunch, aperitif
