Bretzenheimer Chardonnay

A Chardonnay from the Nahe region that shows what this often underestimated region can do: clear fruit, lively acidity, no oak overload.

The In den Zehn Morgen winery is located in Bretzenheim on the Nahe River — an area with a rich soil composition of porphyry, slate, and sandstone. It is precisely this diversity that gives the white wines here a contour and minerality rarely found in warmer regions.

In the glass, the 2022 vintage displays aromas of ripe pear, quince, and a hint of citrus peel. The palate is fresh, with a fine acidity and a clean, slightly mineral finish—not a heavy, buttery Chardonnay, but a straightforward, easy-drinking interpretation of the grape variety.

Recommendation: Pairs well with pike-perch fillet with herb butter, risotto with Parmesan, or fresh goat cheese. Serving temperature 10–12 °C. Drink now or store until 2026.
