Marzadro Le Giare Chardonnay in GP

When autumn arrives in Trentino and the grape harvest in the vineyards draws to a close, the Marzadro distillery comes to life. From September until well into December, they work around the clock for 100 days a year to distill several hundred kilograms of freshly delivered, carefully selected pomace each day. This results in exclusive grappa, aged for 36 months in small casks made of precious oak. It boasts a rich and intense, velvety, lingering, and pleasantly captivating flavor. Marzadro dedicates "Le Giare" to the memory of the injustices and cruelties suffered by the women accused of witchcraft in the village of Giare, in the municipality of Nogaredo, around 1646, before being tried and sentenced to death. Le Giare Chardonnay displays fine and elegant aromas and is soft and full-bodied on the palate. Silver Medal, International Wine & Spirit Competition 2011
