Madonna delle Vittorie Chardonnay Vigneto delle Dolomiti
A Chardonnay from Trentino that shows what alpine locations can do with this grape variety: not an opulent buttery-vanilla character, but fresh fruit with a clear acid structure.
The grapes grow in the municipalities of Arco and Nargo-Torbole on the northern shore of Lake Garda – just a few kilometers from the winery. The climate there is Mediterranean-Alpine: warm days, cool nights, and calcareous soils. The Madonna delle Vittorie winery is one of the established producers in this IGT zone, which for decades has demonstrated that Trentino is far more than just a transit region between Bavaria and Verona.
In the glass, a pale straw yellow. On the nose, white peach, pear, and a hint of citrus peel – no heavy oak influence, but pure fruit. On the palate, medium-bodied, lively acidity, short, fresh finish.
Serving suggestion: Well chilled at 10–12 °C. Pairs well with Trentino antipasti, grilled trout from the Sarca Valley, light poultry, or a young goat cheese. Ready to drink now – not intended for long-term storage.
