Les Jardins de Babylone 0.75L

A sweet wine from Jurançon that shows what Petit Manseng can achieve in the foothills of the Pyrenees: concentrated fruit, lively acidity, and a sweetness that never feels heavy.

Behind this wine is an unusual partnership: the legendary Loire winemaker Didier Dagueneau and the local winemaker Guy Pautrat cultivated and pressed together in Jurançon. After Didier's death, his son Louis-Benjamin Dagueneau continues the project — with the same demand for artisanal precision for which the Dagueneau name stands.

Petit Manseng is the classic grape variety of Jurançon moelleux: small berries, thick skin, high natural acidity. The glass shows dried apricot, candied citrus peel, and a hint of ginger, carried by a fresh acidity structure that keeps the residual sweetness in balance. The finish is long and spicy.

Best served at 8–10 °C — with Roquefort, foie gras, or caramelized desserts with passion fruit. Also convincing as a standalone conclusion to a meal.
