Lagar de Cervera Albariño

Lagar de Cervera Albariño
An Albariño that brings the humid Atlantic air of the Rías Baixas directly into the glass: lively acidity, ripe stone fruit and a salty minerality that lingers long in the finish.
Rías Baixas, Galicia. Bodegas Lagar de Fornelos belongs to the Rioja Alta group and cultivates its vineyards in the heart of the O Rosal subzone, right on the border with Portugal. The granite and schist soils of this Atlantic-influenced coastal region give the Albariño its characteristic freshness and mineral depth. Harvesting is done by hand, and fermentation takes place at low, temperature-controlled temperatures to preserve the aromatic purity of the grape variety.
In the glass, the wine shines a bright golden yellow. The nose reveals ripe mango and pineapple alongside citrus peel and a hint of white blossom. On the palate, a robust yet integrated acidity carries the fruit, while the body remains lean and fresh. The finish is salty and mineral – typical of the granite soils of O Rosal.
Drinking window: now until 2027. Best served at 10–12 °C.
Goes well with: Pulpo a la Gallega, grilled prawns, scallops or light fish dishes with lemon butter.
