Kavalan Concertmaster Port Cask Finish is a single malt from Taiwan defined by fruit and roundness. The gift box contains a 0.7l bottle at 40% vol and a 0.05l miniature of Kavalan Single Malt, so you can taste two Kavalan styles directly side-by-side.

Kavalan distills in Yilan on the northeast coast of Taiwan. The distillery is considered one of the most famous in Asia, and its subtropical climate is characteristic of its whiskies. The Concertmaster features a finish in port wine casks, which gives the malt additional fruitiness and a subtle sweetness.

In the glass, you can expect ripe red fruits, soft cask notes, and an accessible, round texture. The style is gentle rather than edgy. The miniature is suitable for specifically comparing the port influence with the second single malt.
