Kavalan Concertmaster Sherry Cask Finish 40% vol Taiwanese Whisky 0.7L

The Concertmaster Sherry Cask Finish is a Taiwanese whisky with a clear fruity base and additional depth from an Oloroso finish. It comes in the bottle at 40% vol.

Kavalan stands for whisky from Taiwan, whose profile is characterized by tropical fruit. For the Concertmaster, the whisky first matures in refill casks and then receives its finish in selected Oloroso sherry casks. Thus, the sherry complements the fruity baseline without covering it up.

In the nose, vanilla and toffee meet subtle chocolate, crème brûlée, ripe dark fruit, and nut. On the palate, it feels full-bodied and round, and the tropical fruit remains present. The finish is long and soft.

Recommendation: neat from a nosing glass or with an ice cube, preferably in the evening after a meal. A whisky for everyone who likes sherry notes and wants to keep a fruity base in the glass.
