The Kavalan Concertmaster Port Cask Finish is a Taiwanese single malt that combines the distillery's fruity style with an additional finish in port wine casks. It comes in the bottle at 40% vol., making it accessible and soft.

Kavalan is located in Yilan in northeastern Taiwan. The subtropical climate shapes the house's whiskies: they appear fruity and multi-layered. With the Concertmaster, the port wine finish rounds off this character.

In the glass, the whisky shows a warm reddish-brown. On the nose, tropical fruits lie over honey, vanilla, and coconut, along with a soft sweetness reminiscent of marshmallow. On the palate, it is full-bodied and round, with distinct fruit and gentle cask influence.

It is best to drink it neat and take your time to discover the layers one by one. It is suitable for a quiet evening and pairs well with creamy desserts or pastries.
