Ihringer Winklerberg Weisser Burgunder trocken QW Baden 0.75L
White Burgundy from the Winklerberg vineyard — one of the warmest and most mineral-rich sites in Germany, directly on the Kaiserstuhl. The Ihringer Winklerberg is considered one of Baden's most prestigious single vineyards, and the Freiherr von Gleichenstein winery has been cultivating these volcanic terraces for generations.
In the glass, the wine displays a pale straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The nose offers aromas of ripe pear, white peach, and a subtle hint of almond. On the palate, it is dry and taut, with a lively acidity that lends the wine freshness and length—the finish is mineral and slightly creamy. Typical of white Burgundy from volcanic soils: more depth than one would expect on the first sip.
Best served at 10–12 °C . Pairs well with pike-perch fillet with herb butter, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, or a mild goat cheese. Also a good choice to accompany Asian-inspired dishes with ginger and lemongrass.
