Today, the reserved Swiss winemaker owns not only the Hess Collection Winery in Napa Valley, but also Glen Carlou Vineyards in South Africa, Peter Lehmann Wines in Australia, and Bodega Colomé in Argentina. Each of these locations houses a winery and a publicly accessible art collection. The largest is the Hess Collection in California. The Hess Collection Chardonnay is an elegant wine with aromas of Asian pears and tangerines. Crucial to its exceptional quality are the maritime influence and the soils, which originated from ancient seabeds.
