Hennessy is known for having invented the X.O. Cognac, which matures in the barrel for much longer than other brandies. The brand uses over 100 individual brandies that are up to 30 years old to create a unique end product that is second to none. Maurice Hennessy first created the X.O. Cognac in 1870. The bouquet of this cognac is rich and spicy, overall very distinctive and masculine. The secret of Hennessy's success lies in the extraordinary stocks of Eaux-de-Vie that have been built up since the house was founded in 1765. Thanks to these stocks, Hennessy can create extraordinary cognacs for which the brand has always been known.

In the glass, Hennessy XO has a dark, reddish-brown color and a bouquet that unfolds in a complex and spicy way, with a fine woody note. On the tongue, it is velvety, with fine nuances of chocolate, fruit, and a peppery sharpness. Flavor notes of vanilla, cinnamon, tobacco, and leather complement the aroma, while a light oak note rounds off the taste. The finish is smooth and long-lasting, with spicy and subtly sweet notes of vanilla and wood.
