Grauer Burgunder R QW Rheinhessen 0.75L
The Grauer Burgunder R from Kühling-Gillot is the reserve selection within the QVINTERRA® estate wine line — a step more depth and expression compared to the base wine, recognizable by the simple "R" on the label.
Kühling-Gillot is one of the most renowned addresses in Rheinhessen. The winery is managed by Carolin Spanier-Gillot and Hans-Oliver Spanier, manages its vineyards biodynamically, and has made a name for itself primarily with mineral-precise wines from limestone and loess soils. The QVINTERRA® line stands for accessible, varietal-typical wines with a clear origin.
Grauer Burgunder from Rheinhessen in this category typically shows ripe pear, white peach, and a hint of yellow apple — in the reserve selection, supplemented by more melt on the palate and a longer, slightly spicy finish. The wine remains dry and possesses the fresh acidity structure characteristic of Kühling-Gillot.
Good with veal schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce, fried salmon, or a ripe Brie. Serving temperature: 10–12 °C.

Carolin and Oliver Battenfeld's winery is located on the Rhine terrace. Kühling-Gillot is distinguished by its organic farming practices, which have been expanded to include biodynamic methods since 2005. For Carolin and Oliver Battenfeld, the European hare symbolizes fertility and joie de vivre. In recent years, the winery has developed into one of the absolute top producers in Germany. The slate soil of the famous Roter Hang (Red Slope) around Nierstein and Nackenheim produces wines whose blend of delicate fruit and vibrant minerality represents something of an ideal example of a great dry wine.
