Gnarly Head Chardonnay

A Chardonnay from two Californian growing regions that balance each other: ripe fruit from sun-drenched Lodi, freshness and vibrancy from coastal Monterey.

Gnarly Head is a Californian winery known for approachable, characterful wines – without the detour of small vineyards or complicated vinification. The Chardonnay is a prime example: uncomplicated in its approach, but with a distinct profile.

In the glass, it displays aromas of yellow apple, peach, and a hint of butterscotch – typical of a lightly oaked Chardonnay from a warm inland region. The Monterey component contributes a lively acidity that keeps the wine fresh and balances its full body. The finish is medium-long and slightly creamy.

Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Pairs well with baked chicken, pasta with cream sauce, grilled salmon, or mild mountain cheese. Also a great choice as a simple accompaniment to an evening on the patio.
