Erath Pinot Noir

A classic Oregon Pinot Noir that shows why the Willamette Valley is one of the best Pinot Noir destinations in the world: approachable, fresh, with real richness.

Erath Winery is among the pioneers of Oregon winemaking. Dick Erath planted the first vines in Dundee Hills in 1969—at a time when Pinot Noir was considered virtually impossible to cultivate outside of Burgundy. Today, the winery is one of the best-known names in the Willamette Valley and proves year after year that this region comes remarkably close to the Burgundian climate: volcanic soils, cool nights, and long ripening periods.

In the glass, the wine displays vibrant aromas of sour cherry and raspberry, underpinned by rose petals and a hint of vanilla. The palate is medium-bodied, the acidity fresh and invigorating, the tannins fine and smooth. The finish leaves a slightly spicy note—cinnamon, a touch of cedar.

Serving temperature: 14–16 °C . Best enjoyed now—this wine is designed for easy drinking, not for long-term aging. Pairs well with grilled salmon, duck breast with cherries, or mushroom risotto . Also a reliable choice as an uncomplicated accompaniment to a midweek dinner.

Erath Winery

Erath Winery is among the pioneers of Pinot Noir in Oregon. Dick Erath founded the winery in 1967 in the renowned Willamette Valley. The vineyards benefit from a unique terroir of volcanic Jory soil and marine sediments, combined with a cool climate that ensures slow grape ripening. This results in elegant, fruit-forward wines with depth and finesse. Erath stands for authentic, terroir-driven Pinot Noirs with a distinct Oregon character.
