Dr. Wehrheim Pinot Gris

Pinot Gris from the Palatinate – and from the Dr. Wehrheim winery in Birkweiler, no less: that's a combination that stands for substance. Karl-Heinz Wehrheim is one of the most influential winemakers in the southern Palatinate; his white wines are known for their depth without heaviness.

In the glass, this Pinot Gris reveals an aroma profile of ripe stone fruit – pear, quince – along with subtle vanilla and coconut notes, suggesting oak aging. These are complemented by herbal mineral tones and a hint of oriental baking spices. The palate is lively and fresh, with noticeable extract and structure. The finish is long and slightly astringent, with a fine minerality lingering on the aftertaste.
