The Dr. Heger winery – a country doctor laid the foundation in 1935. Max Heger bought fallow plots on the Ihringer Winklerberg, his son Wolfgang continued the business in the 60s. Today, oenologist Joachim Heger manages the estate in the third generation – together with his wife Silvia. In addition to the Winklerberg, the property now also includes plots on the Achkarrer Schlossberg – both classified by the VDP as "Erste Lagen".
