Dönnhoff Pinot Blanc dry

Pinot Blanc from the Nahe region — at Dönnhoff this means: clear fruit, precise acidity and a winemaking process that lets the grape variety speak for itself without overloading it.

The Dönnhoff winery in Oberhausen on the Nahe River has been one of the most reliable producers of German white wine for decades. Helmut Dönnhoff and his son Cornelius work consistently with a focus on the specific vineyard sites—the grapes for this Pinot Blanc grow on volcanic weathered soil and loess loam on the slopes of the Middle Nahe region. Four months of aging in large German oak barrels round out the wine without overpowering the oak aromas.

In the glass, it displays ripe pear, a hint of white peach, and a subtle nutty depth. The body is medium-bodied, the acidity well-integrated, and the finish dry with a slightly creamy texture—typical of a Pinot Blanc that has spent time in oak.

Serving suggestion: Served at 10–12 °C, it pairs well with veal schnitzel with herb butter, pan-fried Arctic char, or a mature Brie. It also complements Asian dishes with coconut milk. Drinking window: now until 2027.
