Domaine de Montrose Rosé

Domaine de Montrose Rosé
A Provençal rosé in the classic style: salmon pink, fresh, uncomplicated — and that's exactly what it should be.
Domaine de Montrose lies in the heart of the Languedoc, not far from Béziers. The winery is one of the larger family-run estates in the region and cultivates its vines on rolling hills between the Mediterranean coast and the Haut-Languedoc Regional Natural Park. The climate is dry and sunny, and the soils alternate between limestone and schist—a classic foundation for light, aromatic rosé wines made from Grenache, Cinsault, and Syrah.
In the glass, it displays a pale salmon pink. The nose offers red currant, pomegranate, and a hint of citrus peel. On the palate, it's juicy with lively acidity and a short, dry finish. Not a complex wine—but a reliably fresh one.
Serving suggestion: Well chilled at 8–10 °C. Pairs well with grilled vegetables, goat cheese salad, tapenade, or a charcuterie board. An uncomplicated summer evening wine that is most enjoyable young—ideally within the next one to two years.

The roots of Domaine de Montrose date back to the 16th century and are linked to a rich history. Since 1701, the family crest of the three lizards has adorned all Montrose bottles, symbolizing family ownership and heritage. Today, the winery is managed with great dedication by Bernard and Olivier Coste. The vineyards are located near the charming small town of Pézenas and are inspired by the family's maxim, which comes from the poet Sappho: "What is beautiful is good. And who is good will soon be beautiful." This inspiring maxim is translated by father and son into their rosé, white, and red wines. The wines of Domaine de Montrose are characterized by their fragrant elegance and are considered a benchmark for high-quality rosé wines from the Languedoc. They are produced with great care and passion to create true beauties. Every drop reflects the family's commitment and the unique characteristics of the Languedoc terroir.
