Delheim is one of the best-known wineries in the Simonsberg-Stellenbosch zone and has been cultivating its vineyards for decades with a focus on varietal, terroir-driven wines. The Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a cuvée of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, supplemented by 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot — a classic Bordeaux-inspired blend that emphasizes the strengths of the grape variety while adding complexity.

On the nose, graphite and tobacco leaves appear alongside dark berries such as cassis and blackberry. On the palate, the wine appears dry and firmly structured, with present but ripe tannins and a long, spicy finish. Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc bring floral accents and freshness into play.

Good with leg of lamb with herb crust, grilled beef steak, or a strong hard cheese like aged Gouda. Serving temperature: 17–18 °C.
