Copper Series Wild Chardonnay

A Chardonnay that showcases what Australia is capable of with this grape variety: no heaviness, no clichés, but a clear balance between ripe fruit and structuring freshness. The Copper Series Wilde Chardonnay from Tempus Two brings stone fruit and texture into perfect harmony.

Tempus Two originates in the Hunter Valley, Australia's oldest wine region north of Sydney. Founded in 1998 by the McGuigan family – one of the country's most influential wine dynasties – under the name Hermitage Road, the winery now operates as Tempus Two. Winemaker Andrew Duff grew up in this region, studied viticulture in Hawke's Bay, and eventually returned to Tempus Two. He is particularly dedicated to Chardonnay, which he gives more attention than it often receives in Australia. The grapes for this wine come from, among other places, the Limestone Coast in southern Australia.

In the glass, the wine opens with aromas of peach and apricot, accompanied by citrus and a hint of pineapple. On the palate, it displays a buttery texture with a mouth-filling impression of ripe yellow fruit and subtle oak notes – a style reminiscent of Burgundy without copying it. Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Pairs well with grilled chicken with herb butter, scallops, or a creamy risotto with Parmesan.
