Conceito Tinto

A classic Douro red wine from the heart of Portugal – complex, structured, and with the unmistakable character of the region.

The Douro Valley is one of the oldest demarcated wine-growing regions in the world. The sites here are characterized by slate, extreme sunlight, and large temperature differences between day and night – conditions that ensure concentration and aromatic complexity. The Conceito Tinto 2018 relies on a classic Douro cuvée made from five indigenous grape varieties: Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Rufete, and Tinta Amarela.

In the glass, it shows dark blackberry and plum, complemented by notes of lavender, cedarwood, and a hint of dried herbs. The palate is full-bodied with ripe, well-integrated tannins and a fresh acid structure that gives the wine support. The finish is long and spicy.

Serving temperature: 17–18 °C. Pairs well with leg of lamb with rosemary, Iberico pork, or aged Manchego.
