CMS Cabernet Sauvignon

CMS Cabernet Sauvignon
CMS Cabernet Sauvignon is a unique red wine blend from the family-owned Hedges Family Estate winery in Washington State, USA . The name "CMS" stands for the blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah , typically sourced from the Columbia Valley and Red Mountain AVA vineyards, resulting in a synthesis of robust fruit and structured elegance.
In the glass, it displays a deep ruby red with purplish hues. The nose is complex, offering aromas of black cherries, cassis, plum, chocolate, and roasted nuts, with hints of vanilla, coffee, tobacco, pepper, and a subtle herbal and forest floor scent. On the palate, the wine is concentrated, juicy, yet crisp, with soft but present tannins, fine acidity, and a long, spicy finish full of black berries, chocolate, and lightly toasted spice.
The alcohol content varies depending on the vintage, ranging from approximately 14.0% to 14.5% ABV. The wine is ideally served at 16–18°C, lightly decanted. It pairs excellently with beef steaks, lamb and game dishes, roasts, braised dishes, or aged cheeses and is suitable for aging for approximately 5–10 years, during which time its structure and aromas will further develop.
