Château Tour du Haut Moulin Cru Bourgeois Haut-Médoc

Located between Margaux and Saint-Julien, in the heart of the Haut-Médoc, is Château Tour du Haut Moulin — a classic Cru Bourgeois that shows what this appellation can do: structured red wines with real depth and long aging potential.

The blend of almost equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon undergoes a long maceration before aging in barriques. This combination provides richness through the Merlot component and the characteristic framework of the Cabernet Sauvignon.

In the glass, the wine shines a brilliant ruby red. On the nose, it opens with red fruits, ripe blackberry, and a subtle toasty oak note from the barrel aging. On the palate, cassis and blackberry follow; the tannins are firm but well-integrated—a testament to successful barrel maturation. The finish is long and displays the typical minerality of Médoc gravel wines.

James Suckling awarded 92 points for the 2015 vintage .

Chateau Tour du

Château Tour du Haut-Moulin is located directly on the banks of the Gironde estuary in Cussac-Fort-Médoc, in the heart of the Haut-Médoc region. A small but exquisite winery, it owes its character to the exceptional mosaic terroir of the Médoc terraces.

Gravelly uplands, mixed sand and gravel soils in the middle, clay-rich subsoil near the river – each parcel tells its own story. The proximity to the Gironde estuary ensures a mild climate, slow ripening, and wines with genuine depth and aging potential. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and a touch of Petit Verdot blend together to create harmonious, structured Bordeaux wines that will last.
