Champagne Ruinart Rosé 1.5 liter magnum

The oldest champagne house in the world — founded in 1729 — delivers its rosé in magnum bottles : 1.5 liters, which mature more slowly than the standard bottle and therefore develop a denser perlage and a more balanced aroma profile.

This cuvée blends Chardonnay with a larger proportion of Pinot Noir . The nose offers aromas of ripe pear, stone fruit, and brioche, along with hazelnut and fresh almond. The perlage is creamy and vinous, the finish dry and long. The bottle is presented in a high-quality Ruinart gift box.

Pairs well with salmon tartare, scallops, or a platter of mild goat cheese. Serving temperature: 8–10 °C. Ideal as a gift or for special occasions where a standard bottle is too small.

How does the Ruinart Rosé taste — is it rather fruity or rather dry?

Dry with clear fruit: ripe pear, stone fruit, and a hint of brioche, plus hazelnut and fresh almond. The perlage is creamy, the finish long and dry — not a sweet rosé style, but vinous depth.

What does the Ruinart Rosé pair best with?

Classically with salmon tartare, scallops, or mild goat cheese. It also cuts a fine figure as an aperitif or with oysters and other seafood — the Pinot Noir portion gives enough structure for more powerful dishes.

At what temperature should I serve the magnum?

8–10 °C. A 1.5-liter bottle takes longer to chill through in the refrigerator than a standard bottle — plan for at least three to four hours, better overnight.

Why a magnum instead of two standard bottles?

In the larger bottle, the Champagne matures more slowly because the ratio of air to wine is more favorable. The result: a denser perlage and a more balanced aromatic profile than in the 0.75-liter bottle.

How do I store an opened magnum?

With a Champagne stopper (stopper with retaining clip) in the refrigerator, lying down or standing — drink within two to three days, otherwise the carbonation will diminish.

Champagne Ruinart from Reims is the oldest champagne house in the world – founded on September 1, 1729, less than three years after the edict of Louis XV, which first made the shipping of wine in bottles possible.

Behind the house is a family vision that reaches back to Dom Thierry Ruinart, a Benedictine monk and confidant of Dom Pérignon, who brought the knowledge of sparkling wine into the family.

What distinguishes Ruinart to this day is a consistent passion for Chardonnay: it shapes every single champagne of the house and gives it that freshness, elegance, and mineral depth for which Ruinart is valued worldwide.
