Casillero Del Diablo Chardonnay

An approachable Chardonnay from Chile's most famous winery – fruity and fresh, with subtle wood spice and an uncomplicated character for everyday use.

Concha y Toro was founded in 1883 in the Maipo Valley and is today one of the largest and most renowned wineries in South America. The legend of the Casillero del Diablo – the "Devil's Cellar," where Don Melchor locked away his best wines and kept burglars at bay with tales of the devil – represents the finest grapes from the coolest growing regions in the country. This Chardonnay comes from the Casablanca Valley , where cool Pacific winds allow the grapes to ripen slowly, resulting in clear aromatics and vibrant acidity.

In the glass, aromas of pineapple and green apple emerge, along with citrus zest and a subtle hint of vanilla from the oak aging. The body is lean, the acidity fresh and clean, the finish short and pleasing – a smooth and elegant Chardonnay that simply works.
