Casa Carmela Semi-Dulce Blanco
Casa Carmela Semi-Dulce Blanco is a sweet to semi-dry white wine from the Spanish region of Yecla (Murcia) produced by Bodegas Castaño . The wine is made from Macabeo (also known as Viura) grapes , displays a light straw yellow color in the glass, and is moderately sweet but with good acidity, giving it a fresh appearance.
The nose is fruity and aromatic, with notes of pear, green apple, citrus fruits , and light tropical accents such as pineapple. On the palate, the Semi-Dulce Blanco is soft, juicy, and rounded, with a pleasant residual sugar of around 23–24 g/L and a clearly noticeable but balanced acidity. The alcohol content is usually around 11% vol.
The wine is ideally served at 10–12 °C , sometimes even slightly cooler, down to about 6–8 °C, depending on personal preference. It is suitable as a fresh and fruity aperitif , for relaxed enjoyment, or as an accompaniment to light dishes such as fish, seafood, salads, asparagus, or mild appetizers . Since it is rather young and fruity, it should generally be drunk relatively early in the day.
