Brancaia Il Blu Toscana Rosso IGT 0.75L

Il Blu is Brancaia's flagship wine — a Tuscan cuvée that demonstrates what happens when Cabernet Sauvignon is consistently pursued to its fullest potential in one of Italy's finest red wine regions. Concentrated, structured, with genuine aging potential.

The Brancaia winery is located in Chianti Classico, is currently run by the Widmer family, and is certified biodynamic. Their Il Blu wine bears the Toscana IGT designation—deliberately so, as the blend doesn't adhere to any specific designation but rather follows its own unique style: Cabernet Sauvignon as the backbone, complemented by Tuscan grape varieties.

In the glass, the wine displays a deep ruby ​​red. The nose offers blackcurrant, violet, and a hint of dark chocolate. On the palate, it is opulent and concentrated, with firm, creamy tannins and a long, balanced structure. The finish brings back ripe berry fruit—dense, but not heavy.

Pairs well with hearty meat dishes: Bistecca alla Fiorentina, braised leg of lamb, or aged Pecorino. Serving temperature 17–18 °C. Those who are patient will be rewarded — Il Blu will continue to develop for several years in the cellar.
