Blauer Zweigelt QbA dry

Zweigelt QbA dry is Austria's most important red wine variety – a characterful cross between Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent that delights with its drinkability, fruity warmth, and pleasant structure. Whether from Lower Austria, Burgenland, or German wine regions like Saale-Unstrut: Zweigelt always displays its personality.

In the glass, it shines a deep purple to ruby red with violet reflections . The nose unfolds aromas of sour cherry, morello cherry, blackberry, and plum , accompanied by light notes of vanilla, cinnamon, and black pepper. On the palate, it is juicy, fruity, and balanced, with soft tannins, lively acidity, and a long, pleasantly spicy finish.

With approximately 13.0% alcohol by volume and a serving temperature of 16–18 °C , it is a versatile accompaniment to dark meat, game dishes, lamb, hearty pasta, and aged cheeses. An uncomplicated red wine with character, fruitiness, and a truly drinkable character.

Pawis stands for wines from Saale-Unstrut, one of Germany's northernmost wine regions with a character all its own. At Vinoscout, you will find Pinot Blanc and Riesling that reflect the cool elegance of this area, as well as a Zweigelt that shows that Saale-Unstrut can also impress with red wine.

The range includes three wines between 14 and almost 34 euros – a manageable but coherent selection for anyone who wants to discover beyond the major wine regions.
