Berlucchi Franciacorta Cuvee Imperiale Dosaggio Zero

Berlucchi Franciacorta Cuvee Imperiale Dosaggio Zero
A Franciacorta without dosage – that means: zero grams of residual sugar, maximum clarity. The Berlucchi Cuvée Imperiale Dosaggio Zero comes from Lombardy, where Berlucchi is considered a pioneer of Franciacorta.
Straw yellow in the glass, with a fine and persistent perlage. The nose offers aromas of yellow stone fruit, a touch of brioche, and a hint of luggage – classic yeasty notes from bottle fermentation. On the palate, it is dry and direct, with lively acidity and a long, clean finish without any sweet aftertaste.
Those who appreciate dry Champagne will find here an Italian alternative with its own distinct character. Good with oysters, ceviche, raw fish, or as an aperitif with savory pastries. Serving temperature: 7–9 °C.

Guido Berlucchi from Borgonato in Franciacorta is the winery that bottled the very first Franciacorta in 1961 – a mere 3,000 bottles at the time, now around 4.5 million per year. Founded in 1955 by Count Guido Berlucchi and oenologist Franco Ziliani, the winery embodies the unwavering conviction that Lombardy can produce a sparkling wine that rivals the best in the world. Since 2016, their 515 hectares of vineyards south of Lake Iseo have been certified organic, and the Mille1Vigna project precisely links each wine to its soil type. Today, Franco's children Cristina, Arturo, and Paolo run the family business – and Gambero Rosso named them "Winery of the Year" in 2022.
